The British Tactica 4×4 Wheeled APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier) available in two different layouts. The standard layout has a bonnet like a car with which the engine is located under and the 2nd layout is much like a truck with the engine running under the forward driving cab.

This layout can accommodate up to 14 men and roof mounted water cannon and the standard layout can accommodate up to 10 men as well as roof mounted Machine Guns or one man turret.

The vehicle is in service with Argentina, Ghana, Indonesia, Kuwait, Mauritius, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and the UK.

Originally designed by Glover Webb who were taken over by GKN Defence who later merged with BAE Land Systems, the first prototype was completed in 1988, with production commencing shortly afterwards in 1989.

The vehicle can be fitted with either a Renault, Perkins or Mercedes engine. It has steel armoured plates, no NBC protection and can be fitted with smoke grenade launchers on an optional turret. The vehicle has observation windows and firing ports running down both sides of the troop compartment.
