The US T20 Medium Tank

The US T20 Medium Tank

The US T20 Medium Tank was developed as a replacement to the US Army M4 Sherman as the Sherman entered production. Various mock ups with both 75mm and 76mm main guns were built as the T20E1. The T20E2 had a 77mm main gun. The engine was a V-8 supplied by Ford. The T22 was built by Chrysler with a different transmission.  The later T23 entered production but were rejected by the US Army for front line service.
