The Russian GAZ-2975 Patrol Vehicle is used as the bases for a number of other Russian vehicles:

GAZ-2975 “Tigr” – armoured military version
GAZ-29651 “Karatel” – light-weight and more inexpensive version of GAZ-2975
GAZ-3937 “Vodnik” – military amphibious vehicle
R-145BMA – command vehicle based on GAZ-233036 SPM-2 vehicle
Abaim-Abanat – special police assault vehicle based on GAZ-233034 SPM-1 vehicle
VPK-233114 Tigr-M – upgraded version with new engine, armoured engine jacket and NBC protection system.
GAZ-2975
It is the military version of the GAZ-2330 “Tigr”. It’s equipped with a powerful diesel engine with the turbocharging and air cooling system and a five-level manual gearbox. The Tigr is capable of carrying up to 10 troopers.
A 7.62mm, 12.7mm machine gun or 30-mm automatic grenade launcher can be mounted on top of the roof. There is also a roof hatch.
First prototypes were revealed in 2002. Production commenced in 2005. Currently it is in service with the Russian Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Internal Affairs. These vehicles are used to deploy rapid-reaction teams, escort convoys, conduct patrols. Some sources claim that by 2010 over 350 of these vehicles were delivered.
During Interpolitex-2010 exhibition Military industrial company presented the upgraded version of GAZ Tigr – VPK-233114 Tigr-M with new YaMZ-534 diesel engine, additional armour and NBC protection system.
