The Spanish BLR 4×4 Wheeled APC (Blindado Ligero de Ruedas) aka Pegaso BLR 3545, was developed and manufactured by the former Spanish firm Santa Barbara (now part of GDLS Europe) for internal security missions.
The vehicle is an all steel construction giving protection against shrapnel and 7.62mm Machine gun fire. Vehicle commander sit ip front with rear section occupied by the 11 embarked troops who also man the roof cupola mounting a Machine Gun. The engine is mounted in the rear and sandwiched between by the two rear doors.
The vehicle is in service with Ecuador, Guardia Civil and the Spanish Marine corp.
