The North Korean M-1992 4×4 Wheeled APC is like most North Korean military equipment, a lot is not known about the vehicle. It was first spotted in a 1992 public day parade, hence its NATO designation M-1992. It appears to have a standard layout of engine under a frontal hood, a two man crew including driver behind this with the troop compartment running along the rear. Its estimated this compartment could carry up to 6 troops.

The vehicle has been seen with various weapon systems, including missile/rocket launcher and Machine Guns. Its believed that production has now ceased and only on service in North Korea.
