It is equipped with it has a winch and a knuckle-arm excavator shovel. It can can be fitted with either a frontal mine plough, for clearing paths through mine fields or a dozer blade for moving earth or building inplacements, It can also carry fascines to drop into ditches and can tow a trailer such as the Python Minefield Breaching System.

Manufactured in the UK by BAE, the vehicle was deployed during Operation Moshtarak in Afghanistan during Feburary 2010 in counter Taliban operations. The British Army has 33 of these vehicles and are operated by The Corp Royal Engineers since 2008.
