I love this model for several reasons. Firstly it was great to find an AFV club model, then its that its an ARV and the first I have seen, that it has a number of working parts such as the front blade and boom, and finally that it is a model that can do what the real thing can do i.e. the boom can support the weight of a model turret as can the real thing, I can move earth with the blade and finally use the winch.

The construction was great except that step 2 was meant to be a working part, and the instructions didn’t reflect that.

I also had the usual trouble with folding metal parts either snapping or being to small to glue, but apart from that I loved it and I’m delighted with the finished model.

I air brushed this model a NATO paint scheme. I used NATO green (XF-67) NATO brown (XF-68) and NATO black (XF-69) for the hull and turret and painted the tracks XF-64 red brown and Revell 752 (blue) on the sights.

I used Humbrol Enamel white satin (130) for the lights. Finally I used Revell 31 & 30 for the brake and signal lights.
