The French VBR MRAP Class 4×4 is described by its manufacturer Panhard as “the medium armoured vehicle for the contact battle of tomorrow”. It uses a steel hull with composite armoured, armoured glass, V floor and anti-mines liner providing a protection Level 3 or 4 as per STANAG 4569. It can be equipped with a medium-calibre gun (40 mm) or a very effective anti-aircraft / anti-tank system.
