The French Auto Mitrailleuse Amphibie DP2 Amphibious Tank was a joint development by a few French companies as a private venture. It had an angled front, just like ship for cutting through waves and a large buoyancy tank running down both sides of the vehicle, with its short track and suspension underneath. It was powered in the water by a rear propeller.
Only one prototype was built in 1935 and whilst conducting its first amphibious trials, it sank! which saw the project end. If it had entered production it would have been fitted with a 25mm Main Gun.
