Saviem (Société Anonyme de Véhicules Industriels et d’Equipements Mécaniques) was a French manufacturer of trucks and buses.

One of their commercial trucks was developed in to the 4×4 SM8 TRM 4000 for military usage with the French Army and entered production in 1973. In 1978 the firm was merged with Renault.
