Review of the Revell LAV-25 model

This Revell kit is my cheapest kit at £7.99 in a sale. It was simple in its construction, but was entertaining.

This one I airbrushed the hull with Tamiya acrylic NATO Green (XF-67). I then painted the brown and black on by hand, simply because the model wasn’t big enough to mark out with tape.

I used Humbrol acrylic black (#33) and Tamiya acrylic Red Brown (XF-64). I also used the normal Revell enamel 30, 31 & 752 for the indicators and sights.
I was a bit frustrated with the decals on this model. The paint schemes were either Gulf War desert or there was a small number of camouflage schemes used in Kosovo.
I went with one of the Kosovo schemes. I found the KFOR decals showed up really well, however the others like the ones on the rear doors were written in black and didn’t show up and would have been better if they too were white.
Over all it’s a simple kit to build and would suggest it as a stopgap if someone were unable to find a more challenging model to build.
