Brazilian VTP-1 Orca 6×6 Wheeled APC

The VTP-1 Orca (killer whale) was developed/manufactured for the Chilean Army by Brazilian Firm Industrias Cardoen SA. Development started in 1982 with production starting in 1985 when the Chilean Army ordered 100 vehicles.

How many were delivered and how long they remained in service is not fully clear, however the Armies current principal wheeled APC and IFV is the Swiss Piranha, which has been built under licence by Chilean firm FAMAE.
