The US T32 Heavy Tank was a prototype, fielding the T15E2 90mm main gun. It was based on the M26 Pershing, but up armoured to 203mm thick frontal steel. The main gun required a large counterweight at the rear of turret, which meant it had to be enlarged, requiring a bigger turret ring. This of course meant that it needed a larger hull to accommodate the new engine and transmission required to propel the vehicle. The hull was lengthened to do so and a 7th road wheel added. Four prototypes were built from 1945 – 46. It never entered serial production.
